Rudy Cordova: "All My Life I Was A Drug Dealer, That Was All I Knew..."
Updated: Jul 31, 2021
My name is Rudy Cordova. All my life I had been a drug dealer, that was all I knew. I never had a legal job in my life. The third time to prison was the last straw for me. I had already lost my first marriage to the drug life and I wanted to change my life but I wasn’t sure how to go about it. I didn’t want anything to do with Jesus or going to church. But I was invited to a church service one day and I finally stopped fighting and gave my life to Jesus Christ. I got a job in a restaurant as a dishwasher. It was a job I hated, but my life started to change.
Then, one day I heard about the Choose to Change Mentoring Program and I decided to go and see what it was all about. Orlando’s teachings on personal development, personal responsibility, and character-building literally changed my whole perspective in life. The Choose to Change mentoring program helped me develop a clearer direction for my life and gave me a starting point to a better and brighter future.
Today, I own my own business and I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Jamie. We have two great sons, Christian and our newest addition to the family, little Benjamin. I’m so grateful to God, to my Pastor, Roman Gutierrez, and the Choose to Change Mentoring Program for their commitment to restoring families just like mine.
